Product description

The Airmax PondSeries PS10 is a high-efficiency bottom-up aeration system designed for ponds and lakes up to 1 acre with depths reaching 50 feet. This professional kit features a whisper-quiet 1/4 HP SilentAir Rocking Piston Compressor delivering 2.3 CFM through a single ProAir 4 Weighted Diffuser. Housed in an ETL-certified faux-rock composite cabinet, the PS10 eliminates thermal stratification and boosts dissolved oxygen to accelerate muck decomposition. With SmartStart Technology for power-surge protection and an industry-leading 10-year cabinet warranty, it provides a low-maintenance, cost-effective solution for achieving superior water clarity and a balanced aquatic ecosystem.

Reliable Aeration for Smaller Ponds

SilentAir Compressor with IST

The SilentAir 1/4 HP Compressor is the core of the PS10 system. Specifically engineered for deep-water applications, it features SmartStart Technology (IST), which ensures the motor is protected during pressurized restarts after power outages. Mounted on vibration-dampening rubber feet, it operates with minimal noise and extreme efficiency, costing as little as $0.44 per day to run 24/7. This system is available in both 115V and 230V options to suit your power requirements.

Protective Composite Cabinet

The ETL-certified composite cabinet is designed to withstand the elements while blending into your landscape. It features a faux-rock finish and an integrated cooling fan with a rain shroud to protect the compressor from heat and moisture.

  • Dual Filtration: High-density air intake filters protect the engine from dust and debris.
  • Elevated Base: Keeps electrical components safe from flooding and standing water.
  • Compact Design: Measuring 23"L x 17"W x 15"H, it fits easily into any pond-side environment.

ProAir 4 Weighted Diffuser

The PS10 includes one ProAir 4 Weighted Diffuser. It uses high-efficiency PTFE membrane sticks that release micro-bubbles to maximize oxygen transfer. Unlike traditional air stones, these membranes are low-maintenance and resist clogging.

  • Integrated Check Valve: Prevents water from back-flowing into the airline.
  • Self-Weighted Sled: Ensures the diffuser remains upright and stays on the pond bottom during installation.
  • Single-Port Manifold: Includes a pressure gauge and relief valve for optimal airflow control.

Versatile Installation

Airmax systems are known for being the easiest to install. The PS10 can be placed at the water's edge or up to 1/4 mile away from the pond, eliminating the need for expensive electrical work at the shoreline. It is fully compatible with 3/8" or 5/8" EasySet weighted airlines.

💡 Expert Installation Tip:

Gradual Start-Up: For older ponds with significant organic buildup, avoid starting the system for 24 hours immediately. To prevent "turnover shock," start with 30 minutes on Day 1, then double the time daily (1hr, 2hr, 4hr, 8hr, etc.) until full operation is reached. This allows your fish and beneficial bacteria to adjust safely to higher oxygen levels.
