Match replacement media to the pond filter
Mechanical pads and mats capture debris. Biological media provides surface area for beneficial bacteria, and some filter designs combine these functions. Do not assume that a pad, net or media pack fits every filter from the same brand.
Check the filter model, part number, dimensions and pack quantity. Follow its cleaning instructions and replace damaged media as needed. Avoid replacing all established biological media at once unless the manufacturer's procedure requires it.
