📏 How to Calculate Your Liner Size
Use this professional formula to ensure you have enough material for the edges and anchoring:
Liner Width = Max Width + (2 × Max Depth) + 2 ft (Overlap)
*Pro Tip: If your pond has steep vertical walls, add an extra 1 foot to the overlap for secure rock placement.
Professional Installation Recommendations
- Use Underlayment: Always install a protective geotextile fabric beneath the liner to prevent punctures from sharp rocks or roots.
- Sun Exposure: Lay the liner out in the sun for 20 minutes before fitting; it will become much easier to mold into corners.
- Handling: 45 mil EPDM is heavy. We recommend at least two people for positioning liners larger than 15' x 20'.
